This congress is dedicated to the scientific research on humpback whales, and also to all human activities, including conservation, science, marine engineering, blue economy, social activities, education and arts. Different topics about humpback whales will be discussed including biology, ecology, genetics, bioacoustics, migratory routes, marine protected areas, economy, citizen science, effects of human activities at sea.

We invite all researchers, scientists, and conservation professionals to submit their project results related to humpback whale conservation for our 2025 World Congress on Humpback Whales!

The official language of the conference will be English.

Abstract

Online submission only via the conference website. Abstracts have to be written in English. Contributors are invited to send abstract including:

  • First names and last names of author and co-authors

  • Affiliation(s)

  • Email of the corresponding author

  • Main text (350 words max)

This year’s theme, "Coexisting with Whales, for our Ocean" highlights the importance of fostering harmony between human activities and whale conservation. We encourage submissions that address innovative research, strategies, and success stories promoting coexistence with marine mammals while safeguarding ocean health.

Submissions are invited for oral presentations, posters, and workshops. Please ensure your abstract aligns with the congress's theme and review the guidelines carefully.
